Photo of the Day! Red-breasted Nuthatch!
Nikon D7000, Nikkor 500mm f/4 AFS, SB-600 fill flash @ ISO 500, f/8, 1/640, by Chad Griggs
This Red-breasted Nuthatch was just cooperative long enough to get this photograph. I've seen these in the past but have never been able to get a good photograph before. The bird quickly approached a suet feeder and paused briefly on this branch. It was the only time it landed on a clean branch with a clean background, but it was long enough to capture this one image!

Well done! your patience paid off!! Were you using a beamer or other extender at all with the 500?
ReplyDeleteWell done!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments. No better beamer on this one, I was standing pretty close.
